Twitter is Down but no Fail Whale

[singlepic id=45 w=500 h=342 float=center]

Twitter has finally replaced the ugly old fail whale with a fun little cartoon Caterpillar and ice-cream cone, I would have preferred to see a message promotion a NGO or charity such as Kiva.org.

About This Site

David has previously co-published Google Advertising Tools 2nd Edition with O’Reilly and regularly writes for several industry blogs such as: Search Engine Journal, Flippa, Marketing.com.au, MarketingMag, DynamicBusiness, SEOmoz (now MOZ), Technorati, and Search News Central. His educational background includes a Business Marketing Diploma and a Business Marketing Degree from James Cook University for good measure.
He started out in this industry in 2008 under The Lost Agency as a search analyst, since I started back then have worked with several leading web development companies and several global marketing agencies such as Next Digital & Amnesia Razorfish. I’ve worked across projects focused on Google AdWords, Google Analytics, WebTrends, Facebook Advertising, Twitter Campaigns, Social Media Strategies, SEO Audits, SEO Technical Projects, ASO, Content Marketing, Link Building Projects and digital marketing strategies.

I need to write more content on Davidiwanow.com which is my main site but also can be found writing for several industry blogs when I get a good topic and some headspace to write a decent post. I also love promoting conferences and events and did a number of interviews with industry leaders in the past. After leaving Melbourne in 2013 I spent almost 3 years in Amsterdam working for Marktplaats which was part of ebay classifieds group and 2dehands.be and 2ememain.be which is the largest free classifieds site in Belgium. I spent a few years in London working at a SEO agency BlueGlass but needed more of a challenge so moved to Schibsted as SEO Manager for Global Deployments where I was promoted to Global SEO Manager looking after SEO & ASO across 22 leading classified websites. In 2019 I made a decision to return to The Netherlands with Danone as their Global Search & Traffic manager looking after their 379 digital properties. During Covid in 2021 I had the opportunity to move to Reckitt as Head of Search where I’m currently based looking after both paid and organic strategy for 800+ websites for brands such as Dettol, Lysol, Durex, Finish, Vanish, Nurofen, Gaviscon, Enfamil, Strepsils & Dobendan.
